I still fondly remember when I first introduced Apache Airflow to ING and how Bolke de Bruin embraced it. Risky bet, as Airbnb literally just open sourced it (’t was the summer of 2015 maybe?)

Now 6 years ago I am lucky enough to count my colleagues Bas Harenslak and Julian de Ruiter as probably the most knowledgeable book writers on the topic.

And in the meantime cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) picked it up to offer a Airflow as a managed service.
