Dear #FIRST_NAME#,
🤦🏻♂️
World-class business leaders, but no world-class spam from them!

To be a leader, sometimes you have to follow in the footsteps of companies you admire.
This time #GoDataDriven Academy is following the fine folks at dbt Labs by offering a #sponsorship for our most popular courses.
#python is the most popular programming language of the world, in no parts thanks to the widespread adoption by the #datascience community.
Attending one of our training is a great way to expand your network, increase your employability, and to command bigger salaries.
If you’re not there though and cannot afford it, we are now there to offer all financial support you might need.
How?
It’s simple: every time you land on a qualifying training (see list below) you’ll see this call to action.
I hope more companies will follow!
Happy learning!

[Kudos for the implementation details and refinement to Nico de Jonge Ellis van der Slikke Walter van der Scheer and Jelle Portegies, and kudos to Lucy Sheppard for pushing me to do more in this space! I’m just the person writing these posts, they do all the hard work!]

This is back then 👇🏼

The fine folks at Coiled just sent me the best mug I’ve ever owned — and more!
Thanks Ron Guida and Christiana Cromer!

Finally, the template for user stories is out

This must be the creepiest product photo I have ever seen, on the Adobe Captivate website
What happened with the head? What happened with the head?

OK, a week has passed by and the most surprising findings are (🥁🥁🥁):
What did I do with all this information?
Mostly, I blocked extra domains at the DNS level.
I also have a couple of apps where I might want to investigate further what they do and why, and maybe block a couple of IP addresses on a DNS level.
The results of course are not shocking as I try to vet most apps I install, I don’t use Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, etc., if an app is ad-based I usually look into a payed alternative, etc.
I can only imagine what you get on platforms — ahem Android — where privacy is not a USP 🙈

With iOS 15 Apple added App #Privacy Report.
You can record app activity for 7 days, and then see a report.
I think of myself as a very privacy conscious individual when it comes to installing apps on my phone and giving them permission.
So I turned it on today, and I’m going to use https://github.com/johnspurlock/app-privacy-report-viewer to report back in a week.
It’s going to be interesting!
