LinkedIn is drunk if it thinks a secretary is similar to the Chief Scientist at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)

(the other recommendations are just as bad)

The future of remote work is written. Good writing is the secret skill to succeed in a remote working environment — where your team and your customers are (partially) remote.

[Fun fact: I never met face2face our 2 largest customers of 2021]

Why do people do it poorly?

To be quick, or because we don’t think it’s important.

I often find myself trapped writing

focused on what kind of questions you can use to uncover needs

instead the equivalent but better

focused on the questions to uncover needs

What’s your experience here?

Today in bad practice in the data visualization space: the Dutch government website showing a heat map of the # of people who tested positive to Covid-19.

The idea behind the map is nice: which areas in the country are most affected.

But the heat map is useless: there’s a only a single color shown: dark blue!

Are there any Sustainability experts in my network that would like to give a training — or speak with — one of our customers?

The customer is a global multinational in the chemical industry with HQ in the US.

Back on the road with Rob: we’re going to meet with our partner Königsweg in Heidelberg today.

On the agenda: Dutch coffee at 10AM (we need to charge that Model X), German lunch at 1:30PM, talking about our partnership and customers in the afternoon.

On the surface, Ted Lasso is a brilliant comedy that lifted our spirits when — back in 2020 — we just heard one bad news after the other.

Below the surface though it’s a show about managing a team and how achieving long-term greatness often means sacrificing short-term results.

It’s has so many lessons if you’re a leader or if you just want to be a better team player.

Highly recommended — I gave it a 9 on IMDB!

Joe Manchin — democratic senator of West Virginia — is questioning a wealth tax to individuals making in a SINGLE WEEK more than the LIFETIME salary of a median American.

He says the tax is divisive.
